Another poem! But by me this time. I know it’s National Poetry Month, and that we should be celebrating poetry non stop this April, but I’m going to switch it up soon for those of you who like my fiction better.
I have one more poem lined up and ready to go — perhaps for tomorrow. Then, I’ll work on something different for you all. Maybe even another book review. Thank you to all of you who provided me with much needed feedback.
Floating
The sky and water surrounding
the boat and the air
I breathe
melts and forms a singular
space in which only I exist,
where only glimpses of
what I know spring to life
hazily and quietly through
the grey
as if not to disturb
an unknown message within
that will reveal itself at
exactly the right time.

This is beautiful. Eerie, but peaceful.

I like this. I get a sense of peace yet haunting at the same time.

Thank you! That was the goal. The loneliness is nice, but once you realize how small you are, it creeps in fast — especially on the water.
